Gallery was founded in 1988.

From its beginning the gallery has an entirely non commercial character, and its activity, and administration so far have been supported from private funds of the organiser.

Gallery program is based on time-based and place related modern art phenomena such as different types of performance art, installation and various combinations of both (performance/installation).

Art events are material for further studies, theoretical analyses which are published in art magazines. Each of them is also documented on video tape and photos. The gallery has also modern art archive (Polish and international), keeping contact and exchanging information with many artists, art institutions and organisations working in the field of contemporary art.

Every year I try to compose a gallery program with a particular subject which is also an important issue for contemporary art. I invite artists who take up those problems in their art practice. After finishing a year of such a activity I sum up its results in a series of a texts base it on gallery events and using as an example realisations from my gallery. Then I prepare a publication with yearly documentation.

Redefinition of art - it is a main task for nowadays, for so called postmodern art criticism and theory.
