Wystawa dokumentacji, druków, plakatów  i wydawnictw Galerii Białej oraz pokaz filmów,
to próba wglądu w historię galerii. To także próba określenia jej artystycznego znaczenia
w kontekście zmian społecznych, politycznych ale przede wszystkim kulturowych jako
galerii autorskiej, kierowanej przez Annę Nawrot i Jana Grykę. 26 lutego 1985 roku,
dokładnie 25 lat temu, w Galerii Białej odbył się pierwszy wernisaż - wystawy malarstwa
Leona Tarasewicza. Artysta w Białej wystawiał wielokrotnie, zawsze redefiniując znaczenie
sztuki współczesnej. Wywarł znaczący wpływ, na coś, co umownie nazwano białą sztuką.

25 years of the Biała Gallery

The exhibition of documentation, prints, posters and publications of the Biała Gallery accompanied by the presentation of films is an attempt to look into its history and to asses its artistic significance in the light of social, political and, what’s most important, cultural transformation as an independent gallery run by Anna Nawrot and Jan Gryka. On 26 February 1985, exactly 25 years ago, we had our first vernissage of the exhibition of painting by Leon Tarasewicz. He came back to Biała with his works many times afterwards and each time he redefined the meaning of contemporary art. He had a great influence on something that became known as the white art.
