EMMETT WILLIAMS 

Emmett Williams /born 1925 in Greenville, South Caroline - die 2007 in Berlin/, an American artist, one of the precursors of concrete poetry. He has participated in FLUXUS shows since 1962. In 1967, he published “An Anthology of Concrete Poetry”, a book which to this day is a fundamental compendium of knowledge of concrete poetry. He is the author of many books, such as “konkretionen”, “Sweethearts”, “Selected Shorter Poems”, “My Life in Flux-and Vive Versa”. He does graphic art, bookart, visual poetry and performance. He presented his works at many exhibitions and performance actions in prestigious galleries and museums worldwide ( in Poland - Galeria Akumulatory 2 Poznań, Galerii RR Warszawa, Galeria AT Poznań, Muzeum Artystów, Łódź).
