Przemysław
Jasielski (born 1970 in Poznan); studied at the Poznan Academy
of Fine Arts (1989-1995) - creates installations and sculptural
objects that combine art and science in provocative and unexpected
ways. His works often focus on sound and allow for the interaction
of the viewer. He recently created Earth Rotation Speed Control
Unit for a solo exhibition in Montreal that was precisely calibrated
to effect the rotation of the Earth. While in residence at Lucas
Artists Programs (Saratoga, CA-USA). Jasielski created an Earthquake
Control Unit, a machine which emits low frequence sounds in a simulation
of high level seismic activity in California. He show art works:
