„AT GALLERY 1982-2002”

AT Gallery was founded in 1982 by initiation of artist Tomasz Wilmanski and it still is connected to Academy of Fine Arts in Poznan. About 100 artists from Poland, Germany, Austria, Great Britain, Denmark, Norway, Estonia, Belarus, USA and Netherlands were presented here on more then 150 shows. Group exhibitions in Gallery BWA in Lublin, BWA in Zielona Gora, Gallery BWA in Szczecin, Raczynski's Library in Poznan (“Book and what next”), Gallery Avant-garde BWA in Wrocław, Tallinn Art Hall in Tallinn, Estonia, Gallery Bunkier Sztuki in Krakow, CSW Zamek Ujazdowski in Warsaw, CSW Laznia in Gdansk were also organized.
The Gallery is grounded on author's conception and it has noncommercial character. It presents contemporary art of medium generation artists, by various artistic means like sculpture, drawing, objects, installations, art books, performance etc. At the moment AT Gallery is one of the most important and the oldest art places of this kind (non-commercial and non-institutional) in Poland that consistently shows the latest art.
In the show participate artists that has been cooperated with the Gallery for many years; they showed their art-pieces here and partially decided about an artistic profile of the Gallery. One can find here works from different domains of art: painting (Kalucki, Peplonski, and Lazarczyk), sculpture (Garnek, Jagielski, Klaman, and Lugowski), film and video (Johannessen, Gutmann, Plotnicka, Syska), sound installation (Idelberger), drawing (Luczak, Wilmanski) and objects (Kozlowski, Olbrich, and Sattel). In the case of mentioned artists artistic categories influence themselves and often take the character of original and personal expression. On the one hand, the exhibition is a good occasion to show certain artistic choices, that has been presented in AT Gallery for the last 20 years and recapitulate the activity of that art place; on the other to show works of well-known and respected artists from Poland and abroad.
